A long-time donor to Hollenbeck Palms, this is the second Capital Campaign the Ayrshire Foundation has supported. During the first campaign, the foundation was instrumental in helping build Magnolia Court, an updated residential building for residents aged 65 and older. Home to 37 residents, some of who are married couples, the newly-constructed building features 32 apartments, a shared fully-equipped game room and large parlor as well as covered parking. In the second capital campaign, the Ayrshire Foundation was one of the earliest supporters to help rebuild the Skilled Nursing Facility and build a new Memory Enhancement Center, which cares for residents living with various levels of dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease. This new building features larger rooms, ADA-approved bathrooms that can accommodate walkers and wheelchairs, expanded clinic facilities and a creative arts center.
Support from the Ayrshire Foundation literally helped us get our project off the ground! The Ayrshire Foundation shares our passion of caring for the elderly. As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Hollenbeck Palms provides all levels of care to our residents – independent, assisted living as well skilled nursing care. When the time came to realize our plans of rebuilding Hollenbeck’s Skilled Nursing Facility, the Ayrshire Foundation was the first to step up to meet the challenge with an extremely generous pledge. Their strong commitment played an important role in our ability to secure additional funding. We are so appreciative of the Ayrshire Foundation’s support and are delighted to partner with them to advance our goals and plans of caring for the elderly in Boyle Heights.
