Hillsides

Hillsides is an important part of the Pasadena Community. They are dedicated to improving the overall well-being and functioning of vulnerable children, youth, and their families. Their vision is to create lasting change in the lives of all at-risk children and youth they serve by providing high quality care, advocacy, and innovative services that promote safe, permanent environments where young people can thrive.

Hillsides has gone through some exciting changes, including an important merger with Los Angeles-based child welfare agency Bienvenidos, a relationship that will benefit both organizations.

Also, Hillsides recently broke ground the Creating Lasting Change Capital Campaign. The $12 million major renovation project will transform the Hillsides main campus to improve client outcomes, facilitate more intensive treatment methods, promote healthy permanent families, and increase campus safety. The project calls for constructing a 34,000 square foot multi-purpose building that includes a kitchen, dining hall, art and music studios, recreation wing, gymnasium and subterranean parking garage. Outdoor improvements consist of new sports corridor of sports courts and playing fields, the relocation of the swimming pool, a new cabana, and reconfigured access roads and walking paths. The size and scope of this project sets a new bar for Hillsides, exceeding any single project the agency has undertaken to date.

The Ayrshire Foundation is a leader in improving health care, education, the arts, youth and social services. Making the lead gift of $1 million to this historic project at Hillsides, serves as a clear indication of the significance of this project to our community.
